Listening to Your Story
Peyton weaves together a Biblical worldview, clinical experience, and a rigorous study of psychology to form an integrative approach to the counseling relationship. Her love of relationships and neurobiology create an environment that is at the same time approachable and scientific. She loves psychoeducation and is always excited to share research and tools with clients that will help improve their wellbeing and feed their curiosity about the world of mental health.
She enjoys coming alongside others and providing a safe and consistent space for individuals, couples, and families to unpack their experiences. She believes that counseling can help heal and reframe the critical and harmful beliefs that contribute to shame and maladaptive behaviors. These beliefs can come from a variety of experiences: childhood messages from family or peers, trauma histories, social media, culture, etc.
The counseling relationship provides a place to work through some of these core beliefs so that you can relate to yourself and others in a more fulfilling way.
